The Application Procedure for provisional recognition of Auditing Agencies will be the same as for recognition as prescribed in section 4 of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Safety Auditing) Regulations, 2017. Agencies seeking to become a recognized food safety Auditing Agencies must make an application using the 'Application Form for Recognition/ Renewal of Auditing Agency' as prescribed in the Form A of Schedule of the draft regulation.
They should submit this form along with the requisite documents as in Annexure of the form. They are required to pay the fees for application in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Senior Accounts Officer, FSSAI and then submit the application.
The Auditing Agency should specify their area of specialization from the kinds of businesses listed in Annexure 'B'. Also, they should specify the geographical areas (States/ UTs) for which the agency is seeking recognition.
The Screening Committee after considering the applications on the basis of eligibility and experience and after necessary assessment will recommend the Agency as provisionally recognized Agency and a Provisional Certificate with Unique Identification number will be granted. The validity of the Certificate of Recognition will be three years from the date of issue. The list of recognized auditing agencies will be uploaded in the FSSAI website

  3. Educational qualification certificate of all auditors.

Fee

The following non refundable fee in relation to the application for recognition as Auditing Agency is prescribed. This fee covers the administrative costs for processing the applications and for monitoring of the audits conducted by the auditing agencies during the period of recognition.

3 Fee for modification in the certificate of recognition (Scope, address, auditors etc.) Rs. 5000/-

The fee is non- refundable and has to be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Senior Accounts Officer, FSSAI payable at Delhi.
